According to this article on apple.com USB peripherals may only draw 500mA from USB while in Boot Camp. Anyone know of a hacked USB driver for Boot Camp that allows for higher ampers out on the USB port, I know I found some for my HP work machine.

Background information and specifics:

But I really want to use a peripheral that draws more power than that. Specifically I would like to have my Oculus Rift draw power from USB rather than the AC adapter that is supplied.
I made my own USB power cable similar to this

I know other people have had success using such a cable and you can purchase one, but I made my own.

The AC adapter is rated for something alot. But the Oculus it self has some numbers on the box, which are there just because they have to put something.
You can see they save for 1A on this picture. (link because of huge picture)
But I know lots of people say it uses far less, even on max back-light. (I think it uses like 900mA on max back-light, and drastically less on half back-light which I find much better for my eyes and immersive/realistic.
