boot camp windows automatic restarts

hey
i made an NTFS windows partition on my 2.16GHz Core Duo ( yes not core 2 duo) macbook pro and it runs fine. But whenever i boot up in windows, my mac restarts just after welcome screen. then when i boot up in windows again everything is fine and windows runs flawlessly. anybody has that problem? or even knows about it?

edit: forgot to mention i'm running win xp proffesional
