I'd like to install XP on my new aluminum MacBook, but I don't have the Leopard install disc that came with the MacBook handy with me. I left it in Texas, and I happen to be in Ohio until the beginning of the new year. The thing is, my family has their iMac install discs. Would these work fine?

Normally, I'd try it without asking, but some newer drivers (like the unique trackpad of the aluminum MacBooks) cause me to hesitate.

I would be hesitant for the same reason you mentioned- but I had another thought and that would be to head to an Apple store if there is one with a reasonable distance. In most cases the Genius Bar folks will be happy to install (and re-install where necessary) any software that came with the computer, so I feel certain you would have no problem getting them to simply stick in a disk so that Windows could grab the appropriate initial driver set off.
