Hi All,

I successfully installed Boot Camp on my late 2012 iMac yesterday.
Everything is working well which is good, but when I switch my computer on now, it doesn't make the initial boot up sound anymore.

Any idea's why? And way to turn it back on?

Thanks for any help

Is your sound turned down in OS X by any chance?

What do you mean by you installed BootCamp? Did you mean you installed Windows via the Bootcamp Partition? The Mac already has Bootcamp built in.

Yes, I installed Windows via the Boot Camp application

Okay, well I know someone earlier asked about PRAM reset but have you tried resetting the SMC controller? When functionality starts to act wonky of the system an SMC reset usually helps. My camera completely stopped working on my Macbook Air. Tried everything for hours. Called Apple and then recommended an SMC reset. Did the trick. Wish I called them long before I spent my whole day.

Here's the instructions on how to do so.
