Boot Disk HELP :(

ive downloaded Diskmaker 8 and 9
Ive downloaded High sierra 10.12
ive downloaded mojave 10.14.6 combo

they download into my "downloads" i open them up and get the window with the cardboard box-opened
i click on it and it opends up checks the computer, and go on untill it wants to actually get into my computer
I close out
and check my applications
I get nothing in my aplications and thats where all the utube vids say it will go

im cunfunded
and ive tried everything "I" can think of many times

I need a way to iether put high sierra or mojave on my 500GB ssd disk that will be here tomorrow
or just move what I have now on this disk/computer "Mojave" to the new one so I can swap them out

If you want just to make a clone (what computer do you have?), you can try the free version of SuperDuper or Carbon Copy Cloner.

Maybe even the TimeMachine can make you a clone of the disk, never tried it tho.

well,
its been an interesting morning, ive been up since 1235
making a boot drive--no joy
so i did a migration assist to the drive
then
tore the mini 2012 apart shoved in the new drive, the new memory sticks (the top one was really alot of effort to get in there)
started it up after cleaning it all and putting it all back togeather--NO missing or extra parts
done did a backup to another disk-a spinner, and thunkin of going to Catalina
im now screaming along with Mojave, maxed out ram,and a 250GB SSD hard drive (later ill get a 500 and swap them around
HAPPY CAMPER so far
