Resolved Boot disk (Macintosh Plus)

hi,

How can i make a boot disk for macintosh plus in 2025? I have a floppy, an external floppy disk. What would I need? I watched a lot of videos but gave up. Thank you in advance.

As far as I'm aware, you'll need another Mac with a real floppy drive. "PC" floppy drives* can't handle 800k disks, and I'm pretty sure that a Mac Plus won't boot from anything else (well, apart from a hard drive or other SCSI boot drive).

*Technically the controllers, but I think that distinction is probably splitting hairs at this point.

I have a powerbook 170, it has a floppy drive and a 7.1 system, it would be nice if I could make a bootable disc about it, I'm still investigating

If nothing else works, you might try ebay and see if someone is selling an old boot disk...
