I have a mac g4 mdd 1.25 and the power supply is fried..I also have a mac g4 mdd dual 867...that works..Question...can i take the main drive from the broken mac, put it in a box ..then reboot from that external drive on my mac that works.?..Thanks..Brian

As long as it is a FireWire enclosure that accepts IDE/PATA hard drives inside it, then yes. Your PowerPC based Macs will only boot from the FireWire port.
