I bought a Sata3 card with Marvell 9235 chip, and what I did was reverse my SSD from one of the drive bay and connect with a Sata power cord extender from the drive bay and Sata3 cord from the PCIe card, but all I can get is a file logo with question mark. I tried reset SMC and PRAM, nothing. So before I return the card, did I do something incorrectly? Thanks guys

If your SSD is properly connected, the card is properly seated in the PCIe slot (the easiest way to check is if you can see the SSD when boot from another boot drive). And you can't see this SSD if you hold Option to boot.

Then I can only assume you can't boot from that card.

P.S. I assume macOS is installed on the SSD already.
