Hi - I have a 2013 MacBook Pro with win7 installed with bootcamp.

For about a month I have been using win7 only and yesterday I tried to run The apple operating system but it fails to boot.

I get the grey screen but when the bar reaches the end the computer just turns off.

Tried the check disc utility which is finding no errors. Tried I start in safe mode but that fails too.

Can't understand why win7 starts fine but apple OS won't!

Please help

Grey screen and bar reaches the end? That's not the normal boot process...it sounds like it's trying to perform an SMC or firmware update and then shuts off, but that should only happen once.

Since it's a 2013 you still have a warranty, if you have an Apple Store nearby you may want to see what they can figure out.

I press the power button then I get a grey screen with a bar in the middle - the bar fills from left to right and when it reaches the end it just powers down.

I can startup with the control button pressed and then load windows or the systems option to run disc check etc but not the apple OS
