Boot iBook from imac dvd drive?

I have an iBook with a bad cd drive. I need to do a re-install of the os. Is it possible to boot it from the super drive in my Imac g5 via firewire, or some other method? Thanx in advance, Larry

You can put the ibook in firewire target disk mode and it will look like an external hard drive. Boot the cd from the imac and install to the ibook over target disk mode.
