Boot into OS X and the sounds muted.

I did a quick search on this, but couldn't find anything.

When I boot into OS X for some reason the sounded is muted and I have to turn it up each time. Same thing when I plug my headphones in, it's muted. I can't find an option to change this. Strange.

You need to delete the audio preferences plist files (should be two) and restart.
