Boot partition now Read Only in Lion

Tried running AJA System Test today on my startup drive....it now fails. Only thing I can think of is that it can't write the test file to the startup drive because it's Read Only now.

I try to create a folder at the root and it asks for password.

Just passing this on.

Permissions on the / (root folder) have changed in Lion so that only root can write there. Can you create files in sub-folders, like /Applications or your home folder?
