Hi Guys, here is the problem.
I have a MacBook with Leopard on it (it's and Intel dual core).
I am running Boot Camp and have a copy of XP as well.

The MB boots and works ok in the XP Partition, but not in the OSX Partition.

I've repaired the disk in disk utility on an install disk but it still won't fully boot. its just sticks on the apple logo with the wheel below it continually cycling.

In verbose mode i get the following error.

mds[22]: (error) Server: mdsync launch failed: (ipc/send) invalid destination port.

Any clues??

Thanks

Mike

OK, did all that and repaired the disk again, i do not have the original media, so am using an older OSX disk utility.

As i do not have the original media i cannot do a reload.

After the repair in Verboase mode i get the following

mds[22]: (error) Server: mdsync launch failed: (ipc/rcv) timed out

Ideas???

Buy Snow Leopard for 29$ and install that. It's a system file error because HD works fine as you are able to boot in Windows.

Thanks for the advice, i'm taking it into the Genius Bar on Monday, see if they can reload and maybe upgrade.

Regards

Mike
