Can someone who has tested these please let me know what video cards give a boot screen in the 7,1 ? only modified cards ? all cards ? In particular what about the radeon 5700xt ?

MP 7,1 Boot screen on 7,1 with other video cards ?

MP7,1 supports GOP pre-boot configuration support natively and all PC GPUs that support the standard correctly should work natively without any modification. People here are having no problem with boot screens with 2019 Mac Pros with VEGA and VII PC GPUs.
Some older cards are problematic, like some Asus RX 580 models that have broken GOP UEFI drivers inside the ROM.
Apple started supporting standard PC GPUs with 2018 Mac mini, connected via Thunderbolt chassis/eGPU, after the Catalina firmware updates and 2019 Mac Pro have the same GOP pre-boot configuration support natively.

Btw, a MVC modded card probably won't have working boot screens with a MP7,1 since the card was modded from GOP to UGA. If someone have a MVC modded RX 580/VEGA GPU and a 2019 Mac Pro, this is a interesting thing to confirm.
