Im trying to create a bootable external hard drive so that i can use it to defrag my internal drive (it's the only way that bootcamp will be able to partition the drive). I can't really find anything on how to do this step by step... Ideas?

1)
Connect hard drive
Put in OSX CD/DVD
Restart holding "C" key down
Follow instructions to install OSX on the external drive

or 2)
Download CarbonCopy Cloner or SuperDuper from www.versiontracker.com
Connect hard drive
Run CCC or SD, consult the Help menus
Follow instructions to clone the internal drive to the external, making it bootable.
