Bootable utility CD

I want to make a bootable Mac OS X CD that I can pop a couple of utilities that I like onto and use them on my internal HD. Is there a simple way to do this without cloning my whole drive? I just want the system and a couple of third-party apps.

Thanks. I miss OS 9 sometimes.
