Quick and simple question to you lot out there.
So has anyone been able to make a bootable verison of the new 10.5.4 installer DVD on a Firewire Hard drive yet?
Reason I ask is that can't.
So I've got myself the new 10.5.4 Leopard install DVD and throught it would be a good idea to copy it on to my Firewire harddrive.
I've tried Superduper!, CCC3 and also Disk utilites but no joy.
Superduper! copy and finishes, all the files seem to be in place but when I boot to it my MBP, MB, iMac and MacPro they kernal Panic on the gray screen with the
logo.
CCC3 doesnt even finish it says that it will be a bootable image but it fails to complete.
and Disk Utilites fails about 10% in to the copy.
Im currently making a DMG of the the install DVD as I type and then I'll try and restore that image to the FWHD.
But I have a feeling that that will also fail.
Any ideas people??
Many thanks for any feed back I get
