I'm now using 10.5.1.
BC 2.0 says:
"Bootcamp assistant cannot be used.
you must update your system software before using this setup assistant."
I totally have no idea about this freaking information.
I've tried my best to get my mbp uptodate but it still...

my mbp is c2d 2.16G
what kind of software should I install???

Exactly the same issue

It's not just MBP's. I have a Mac Mini C2d, 1.83, 10.5.2 installed and working. Boot camp 2.0 refuses to create a partition despite having 50 GB out of my 80GB, free.

Did you upgrade to 10.5 or install from scratch? I did an install from scratch and didn't have any problems.

I read on other forums about making sure you have the latest firmware. Run software update and get any other updates you might have.

i did an upgrade. now i am interested in doing a full reinstall, but i do not want to loose my user data.

what is the easiest method to do this?

thanks,
r.

i just fixed my problem...

did an upgrade before, but now i cloned my hd to an external, reinstalled clean, and used migration to bring back my settings and files. now bootcamp works.
