Hello everyone
It seems that Windows has problems reading files greater than about 4.6Gb stored on Mac drives. For example I have an external HFS+ drive with lots of HD Blu-Ray rips (.MKV files) on it, all either 4.6Gb in size, or larger.
Any media player in Windows (I've tried several) seems only to be able to play the first roughly 10 minutes (this can vary from 7 to 11 minutes depending on the video).
To clarify, the media player thinks the video is only that length. Files smaller than 4.6Gb play fine, and all files play perfectly under OSX.
Furthermore, before I used the Snow Leopard Bootcamp installer, I used MacDrive to read my HFS drives, and this problem did not occur.
Therefore I'm guessing the problem is with the drivers installed using the Snow Leopard DVD which allow Windows to read HFS+ volumes.
To get around it, I'm having to copy my movie files to my Windows (NTFS) partition whilst booted in OSX, with the help of NTFS-3G.
So, this is just a heads up - and if anyone has found a way around it, please let us know. This seems similar to OSX's inability to copy files larger than about 4.6Gb onto non-HFS volumes.

Why do I use Windows for MKV playback? Because Windows uses all the shared memory of my onboard Intel 950 graphics, whereas OSX does not. Couple that with FFDshow's framerate doubler, and I get much smoother playback. Cos I'm like that
