Hi,

I am a macbook pro 2011 user who has replaced the optical drive with an SSD.

I'm having trouble installing windows 7 from a usb stick and I have read that bootcamp 4.0.1 (which is only available for macbook air) has and usb stick install option.

That's why I need macbook air user help : Could someone zip the Boocamp 4.0.1 app folder and sent it to me ?

An user has done that for a mac mini and it worked.

Thank you very much for your help.

I have successfully installed Win 7 premium in a 2011 Macbook air. And I met the same problem .The solution is use the make the win7 start disk function in bootcamp 4.0.1 instead of use tools in windows. I think the Apple company means to make the way simpler.
