bootcamp 5 cd/dvd

quick question, everything I read says that the bootcamp support zip file needs to be on a USB stick when unzipped, is it possible to CD/DVD it though?

I'm on a MBP13 and don't have the USB stick availability, the W8 install is also from a DVD.
