Bootcamp 5 & Overheating

Have there been any improvements made in battery life/overheating issues with the newest bootcamp drivers on windows 7 and/or windows 8?

I've used bootcamp in the past on my macbook air, but overheating and battery life were always pretty poor with the drivers available in early 2012. I saw there was a new update to the drivers and windows 8 came out so I was curious if anyone noticed improvements.
