Hi folks,

I have a copy of Windows 7 which I'm going to install via Bootcamp. I have my harddrive encrypted using FileVault. Should I turn it off before I begin the process or can I just go ahead as follow the instructions on Apple's site and everything will be OK?

As long as you use the bootcamp assistant (like in the instructions) then everything will be automatically handled and you can leave file vault on. You will be ok.

When the assistant makes space on disk for bootcamp, the encrypted portion will shrink and the new space will not be encrypted.

Make sure you save your work before you start, because once the assistant finishes your Mac will automatically reboot. Obviously make sure you have backups as well.
