I'm on the latest MBP and when I'm in bootcamp on Ventrillo, I sound like darth vader when I talk.

I think the problem lays in the internal microphone (and the driver that doesn't seem to work)? So if I get an external one and plug it in, will it solve my problems?

I'd rather not want to go buy an external mic and just have it not work still.

My mic works perfectly on Skype, but when it comes to ventrillo.. it doesn't work properly. Help? :(

I'm gaming and use vent to communicate which is why I'm on bootcamp. :\

This is the error.
"Sound input device has been closed.
It was sending data faster then it should be.

Try enabling the 'Use DirectSound for input device' option."

Then when I 'Use DirectSound' the 'talk' button gets stuck and it just doesn't work.

If anyone has encountered/fixed this please let me know. And/or if buying an external microphone (like one you just plug into the headphone hole) will work.
