Hi everyone,
I just picked up a new 15" Macbook Pro (2.4, 2GB, glass screen, unibody). I added an 80 gig Bootcamp partition and went about installing Vista Ultimate 32bit, reformatting the Bootcamp parition to NTFS. The install went fine and I could use Vista mostly without issue. Unfortunately, the machine crashed when installing visual studio. On reboot, I selected the windows partition. I first got a gray screen, followed by a flashing underscore then a black screen. This didn't change with rebooting.
I tried resetting the PRAM, resetting EFI but that didn't help. I deleted and recreated the Bootcamp partition, but again, nothing. I totally formatted the machine, installed Leopard and created a new Bootcamp partition, but I still saw the same issue. As you can imagine, this is a bit frustrating
.
Anyone have any suggestions as to how I can get the Vista installer to display again?
Best,
Scott
