this is a weird one.
I bought my macbook and then the logic board went. I took it in to get repaired and all was well. Until a few days later when it began to boot to a dark gray screen. This required me to do a PRAM reset almost every time i wanted to turn on my system/restart.
I took it in twice for this and eventually the service dude at the Authorized Service place told me that he called Apple, and that there is no fix for it at the moment, so just keep resetting the PRAM for now.
I got it home, called up Apple and buddy tells me that he has heard of this but he can't help me because I had bootcamp installed. So I asked if i uninstall bootcamp, reformat the drive and reinstall will Apple help me and he said "yes!".
SO! I did just that, now I have nothing but a fresh OS and....the problem doesn't seem to be happening! Both Apple and the service dude told me it wasn't a software issue, and that reformatting won't help it.
wtf?! was Windows causing this mess?! I didnt have the problem until the replaced my Logic board, and I was using Windows all the time before. I wanna have Windows on there but I dont wanna pay $100 for the virtualization stuff...
I'm gonna keep resetting and rebooting for hot and cold and blah blah to see if the gray screen of doom comes back but this is really weird...
