Update: I seemed to have solved the problem, at least for now:

I was going to borrow a Vista install disc from a friend, install bootcamp driver on that, and then upgrade to Win7 if I couldn't get thing to work over the next few days.

However, I just did a clean install of Win7, installed Bootcamp drivers from the Leopard (10.5) disk and manually installed a couple drivers from the Snow Leopard disk related to processors and audio. Upgrading to Bootcamp 2.1 as some suggested caused the computer to crash/go into repair mode upon start up. But, it seems to be working perfectly fine just with the drivers I installed.

Whatever works, I guess. Hopefully, it holds up.

Hi,

I just installed Windows 7, 32-bit on my 24" iMac using Bootcamp 3.0 that came with the Snow Leopard install disc. For the most part, everything went fine. However, I did have to manually install some drivers, and every time I tried to use Bootcamp's automatic installation setup application to install the Bootcamp drivers, the system crashed (specifically when it was installing the SigmaTel Audio driver).

Anyways, after all this, I have noticed that I don't have a Bootcamp Control Panel anywhere.

Can anyone provide me with a possible explanation? Does this have to do with the fact that I didn't use the automatic driver setup tool on the install disc?

Thanks.
