Hello, I'd like to buy a new MacBook Pro 13" that was released yesterday to replace an old Late 2008 MacBook.

Since I use a lot Windows 7 x64 under BootCamp I'd like to know if the new MacBook Pro released yesterday ship with updated BootCamp drivers.

Best regards.

Alessandro

I believe they would bundle the latest Boot Camp drivers (version 3.2) should be bundled in with you build of the Snow Leopard disc.

If not, you can just download the latest drivers from Apple Software Update.

There have been a number of threads recently that imply that Apple has gone back to downloading the drivers in Boot Camp Assistant, but that the burning engine doesn't actually work.

I hope they fix this sometime, and actually do ship some version of the drivers with these new Macs.

You're right. I just tried to do this with a 2010 13" MacBook Pro and the Boot Camp assistant wouldn't allow me to put the files onto a flash drive I had. Followed all instructions. Why can Apple never get Boot Camp right, they tell us it works and then it's rubbish.

Someone reported that the Boot Camp drivers are included on the Snow Leopard disc that comes with the new MacBook Pros.

In the preview version of Lion 10.7 the Boot Camp drivers can be downloaded and extracted to a CD or FAT32-formatted USB drive (I verified this on my system).

It just seems bizarre that they can't get this to work on 10.6. None of my machines have updated to the versions of Boot Camp Assistant that seem to do the download so I can't play with it myself.
