I have been trying to get information on how to sort this problem on the net but none were relevant , hope u can help . When trying to partition bootcamp to download windows 7 , the error message comes up and does not allow me to download the windows support software and thus I can't continue . It says the startup disk cannot be partitioned or restored to a single partition as it must be formmated as Mac OS Extended ( journaled ) or already partitioned by bootcamp for installing windows , help me pls!! :(View attachment Bootcamp Error.zip

Boot your Mac from your OS X install disc (grey one that came with your Mac or Snow Leopard upgrade disc) and run Disk Utility from that once booted.

Verify and repair your OS X partition from there, try Boot Camp Assistant again and tell us what happens.

DL of Windows Support Package

I'm having the same issue. When trying to install Parallels, I get to the spot where it tells me to DL the subject package, but when I try to 'burn' the data to the CD, it just cycles back to the 'continue', to 'Burn', to 'Continue', ad nauseum.

There is a caution about using the iMAC X disc, so want to be assured I won't crash if I ignore it and select '...I've already DL.....etc'. I
