Bootcamp/Firewire 410 PROBLEMS!!!

recently bought a Imac and put bootcamp on it straight away and it has worked perfectly untill i installed my m-audio firewire 410.... it works perfectly in mac os x but in Windows xp i cant get it to work!!! it produses sort of a " digital distortion" effect on everything in every program i use... and the outputleds on the front panel all light up. Very wierd...ive tried everything from re-installing to turning of the other sound devices. Ive heard it might have to do with the firmware an that OS X uses a diffrent version than Windows nad that u might have to "flash" (?) the card everytime i change OS!?!?... but hmmm... i dont understand...ive used the m-audio ozone ...first on my old pc and then just plugged it in on a ibook and there wasnt any probs....maby its diffrent with a Firewire Interface than a USB??, i dont really know this technical stuff so firmware (?) is a litle bit overcourse for me... but how can i at least get the firewire 410 to work on the windows partition instead of OS X.? b;cause at this point (the mac is only 3 weeks old) basicly all my audio and video software are on the PC side since i cant afford to buy new software for OS X (VERY expensive)... and can i get in to some sort of bios on the Windows partition?,,, thx for any info on this...im NOT loosing faith on this one!sucks when i have to put music on hold all the time b;cause of computer probs...even when i (after 4 crashing PC;s!!!) decide to go Mac ...
