So I am new to boot camp and trying to Dual Boot so please understand that I am learning and taking all options into consideration.

Model Identifier: iMac12,1
Processor Name: Intel Core i5
Processor Speed: 2.5 GHz
Number of Processors: 1
Total Number of Cores: 4
L2 Cache (per Core): 256 KB
L3 Cache: 6 MB
Memory: 4 GB
Boot ROM Version: IM121.0047.B1F

The iMac that I have is the 21.5" late 2011 model.

I have attempted to use boot camp with Windows 7 but got the black and white screen that I see most have gotten because of the EFI boot issue.

I then updated to 10.8.3 the other day and gave Windows 8 a go and every thing seemed fine until some of the drivers were needed to be installed.

nVidia drive always failed to locate the hardware needed to install the drivers for.

And of course lets not forget the Audio situation that some of us are having.

Now the only reason that I want to Dual Boot is because of gaming naturally like most because VM does not have full access to base hardware for rendering and the FPS for 3D rendering is not going to be the same.

Windows 8 will boot via reEFIt no problem but with Windows 7 x64 will not boot via reEFIt or with out it. I understand that some say that windows 7 will work the best but I cannot even seem to get the installer to even start to install to even try to use the drivers.

So I am humbly asking for advice here, I am not the best in the world of technology and I am learning as much as I can. If you need any more information from me regarding this, please do not hesitate to ask.
