This has become a pain staking process-.-

My problem is this, I have a macbook air that I use on a daily basis as a personal work laptop. Im a college student. My recent engineering classes require me to run SolidWorks for small CAD projects, however if anyone is aware, solidworks will only run on PC. This happens to be bs btw. But aside the point. I do have a Dell laptop that I retired when I got this one. So, I'm trying to install the Windows Vista from that dell with the two product keys I have left, and then upgrade to 7 with the upgrade key that I have, all of which I mind you IS LEGAL. However, the problem comes, that with my dell studio, I wasn't given a Windows Restore CD, as they have a built in Restore Utility. How do I go about getting Windows on my mac?

Download the iso file you need either 32 or 64 bit to your Macbook from:

http://msft.digitalrivercontent.net/win/X17-24208.iso 2147483647 X17-24208.iso Windows 7 Home Premium x86 English

http://msft.digitalrivercontent.net/win/X17-24209.iso 2147483647 X17-24209.iso Windows 7 Home Premium x64 English

Once its downloaded have a thumb disk available, I used an 8gb one then go to applications>utilities>bootcamp assistant on your mac. Check the first two boxes and it will create the USB installer that you need.

There are more resources here to help you with the actual bootcamp install.
