Bootcamp Manager not active in Windows 7

I have W7 installed on my iMac and until a few days ago I've had no problems. Now when I boot into Windows the bootcamp icon does not show up in the taskbar and I cannot control volume, etc with the keyboard. I checked under my startup folder and bootcamp is checked. I then checked in notification area icons and it says that the bootcamp icon is not active, that the next time it is active it will show in the taskbar.

So the question is, how do I get it active again?
