So I created a .MKV in Windows 7 Pro in BootCamp, then I switched to OS X Lion opened my bootcamp drive grabbed the file and dropped it on my desktop in Lion. I then opened Handbrake and converted the file to .mp4. Everything went perfect.

My issue is the .mp4 won't play, not on anything. Any ideas?

Just installed Perian. It seems anytime I bring the .mkv over from windows to my mac to use Handbrake to recode to .mp4 it won't play. I always put my stuff on my external hard drive and I hook it up to my TV to watch, but in this case it's not working.

This is the Error Message:
The document “MyMovie1.mp4” could not be opened. The movie's file format isn't recognized. To see if additional software is available that will enable QuickTime Player to open the movie, click Tell Me More.
