Hey, I recently copied my friends XP SP2 disc because my XP disc was XP1. The disc works fine on a windows machine, but fails to be recognized by bootcamp. I don't have a windows machine at my disposal, what can I do to get this to work?

You can copy XP disks as often as you want, and install it on as many machines as you want. You just need a valid license for each install.

Anyway ... my copy of Windows XP isn't recognized by BootCamp either so the install option fails, but I can install it after the BootCamp partitioning by rebooting with the CD in the drive. Press "C" during the reboot or Option and select the CD ROM.

Try that and tell us how it goes.

it still failure, and I create this XP CD2 with slipstream instruction and it work for my PC desktop, any other suggestion?

The thing I found, after fighting this for several hours, is that the xp cd I was using hadn't been made into a bootable cd. The CD image has to be burned as a bootable cd.
