Hi Guys, I am not a Mac user but am helping a Mac user with this query.

After looking at many tutorials for Per 2015 Models, it seem it is possible to install Win7 on this Mac,

I run Bootcamp and select the download windows driver, and install windows 7

I can then Adjust the Partition size …. so all OK so far

I put the Windows disk in the drive , go to Utility and make an ISO of this Disk..

As soon as the ISO Image is made the Mac Re-boots, although the instruction say it does not .

So the Mac boots to a black screen with these words
====
1.

2.

Select CD-ROM Boot Type : -
===

I cannot select anything as the keyboard does not do anything with any key, but the Mouse die shave the red light on so I assume the USBs and still powered so I just have to re-start and select the Mac as the Boot Drive.

I assume, in the above, it has Booted into the New Windows Partition.

I have tried running the New ISO from the Mac window but it says the ISO can't be run in Dos.

I have tried rebooting with a Windows disk and selecting that at Bootup ( Option key ) but that shows the same error when I run setup.

I have also mounted the ISO IN Toast but that does not help either.

So clearly I have missed something or the instructions I was following are wrong.

The Mac has the latest Update and running 10.7.5 and Bootcamp is Ver 4.

Any guidance would be most welcome

Thanks

Hi.

Which model is the Mac Pro? The 1,1 or 2,1 had a pretty bad bug in it's EFI code, which made the EFI part of the Windows CD hang there.
When you ALT-booted, did you see two Windows CD symbols? If so, don't select the EFI one.
It's been a while, I installed Win 7 on an 1,1, so I can't remember every detail, but I guess, that's your problem here.
