bootcamp partition gives INACCESSIBLE_BOOT_DEVICE error but boots fine in VM Ware fusion

I haven't booted my bootcamp partition natively in a while (since installing catalina?) and now get a BSOD with an INACCESSIBLE_BOOT_DEVICE error. Windows trying to fix it doesn't work.

It boots fine as a virtual machine under fusion and has all latest updates installed.

How can I fix it to boot natively?
