I have a mid 2010 mini running 10.13.6. Am trying to install Win 10 thru Bootcamp. After Windows Partition is created and boot into Windows installer, will not allow install, says Selected Disk is of GPT Partition Style. Next button to continue install is greyed out. I have tried, as other sites suggest, to create partition thru Disk Utility and format as exFAT and install onto that, same result always. I am installing from optical drive. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

What did you use to create the windows partition? Normally, Boot Camp Assistant.app is used to do that.

If you don't use Boot Camp Asistant.app then you can use iPartition.app and mark the new partition as "Show in Windows" which will automatically create a hybrid GPT/MBR disk. Then you can install Windows (uses legacy/bios boot - which I think is the default for installing from optical drive).

I don't know if the 2010 Mac mini supports Windows EFI booting (you would create a Windows USB flash installer that boots using EFI instead of legacy BIOS).

Thanks for the reply. I used Boot Camp Assistant and when that did not work created a partition using Disk Utility. What is iPartition.app?
