bootcamp problem

so im setting up bootcamp on my buddys mac and everything went well, except when i boot up the macbook and hold options i can only choose the mac partition, but if i goto system prefrences i can force boot to the windows partition....

anyone have this problem of the windows volume not showing up at the boot up screen?
