I have a 2011 2.7GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i5 with 12gb ram.

I installed Windows 7 professional and am having some issues.

The main one is, I can't get the resolutuion higher than 1920x1080 even though the imac supports 2560x1440. I have read all around the net about this and no one seems to know the exact fix.

I did all the updates. I installed the bootcamp software after I installed windows. I did all the windows updates and I still can't change the resolution.

Other than that, there are small issues like it not recognizing the keypad on my apple keyboard, and stuff like that. I don't really care, I am just looking for the resolution fix for now. It currently looks awful.

Thanks for you help.

other than doing windows updates, did you go to the AMD website to install the driver updates for the video card? Try that out and see if anything changes.

Yeah I got the newest driver package for the card and still nothing.

I am having the same issue here. Surely someone here has successfully installed Windows 7 on an iMac and got the correct resolution running?
