Bootcamp to vmware fusion how long to convert?

I have been sitting here for at least an hour waiting for my 150gb (only a few gb used, just windows XP and a couple of games on there) bootcamp partition to be prepared to run as a virtual machine in vmware fusion.

Is this normal to take so long? How long is normal?

The system is the new macbook pro 2.8ghz, 320gb 7200rpm

It took me much less time than that yesterday. I don't know if this is important but it was Vista business 64bit. It took maybe 10 minutes max? I can't really remember but it wasn't that long.
