Hey all,

I'm happily enjoying my dual boot MacBook Pro. But under bootcamp, I have two issues.

1. When I use the "volume up button" on my keyboards, it works! Wow - didn't expect that! But it makes the little beepy sound when I use it, and since I use my Mac for a radio station, that's a no go. I've disabled all the sounds under the Windows events sound manager, but it's still there. How do I silence that little bugger, like I can under OSX?

2. External video - works great, but I can only go up to 104x768 on my viewsonic vx2025wm for some reason. I've tried all the usual things - display settings, NVIDIA control panel, but no go.

Thanks for any help!

Davin

1) You can't disable it; it's not part of system sounds.

2) What are you using for the video cable?

Right - I assumed it's a firmware thing. But if Mac OSX can address it, you'd think some bootcamp driver would, too.

I'm using a DVI cable from the MBP to the monitor.
