I couldn't find any previous topics on it(maybe I searched wrong), but under OS X my Astro A30 can detect it both as microphone port and headphone port(just as it would with normal Apple iPhone earphones). I was wondering if this option was available for Windows 7 also.

I'm on a 13" MBP so the ability to have separate output/input ports is out of the picture, just wondering if Windows 7 can also detect that the headphones have Mic+Headphone in one port.

I'm guessing if Apple wrote proper drivers, the answer is yes. Whether they did is the real question, I do not have a MBP with such a port, so I can't test it out for you, or I would.

ahhh, yes I've actually tried it, but I was probably doing it wrong in every way possible. just thought some people here might know.
