Bootcamp won't auto launch on Windows partition

I got mac mini 2014 with Monterey + Win10. I set it so it auto launches on Windows partition and it worked for years. Suddenly now its asking to choose which partition to launch on start up. I tried to reselect it as STARTUP disk but it won't work. I tried to reset NVRAM by pressing cmd+alt+P+R , but surprisingly all it does is it auto choses Windows but if I don't press the key combination I am back to startup disk choice screen.

how to fix this!?
its for family who have no idea on troubleshooting computer issues.

Is this happening after a macOS or Windows update? Sometimes OS updates reset startup preferences. Also, are you using any third-party boot managers?

no 3rd party

Windows 10 could have updated files but didn't upgrade to windows 11. I tried to readjust the settings for the start up boot volume on MacOS and Windows but its no use.
