Bootcamp won't load disc

I decided today to reinstall windows XP on my macbook using bootcamp, using the same disc that I used last time I ran XP on it (I removed it because I stopped needing the windows installation). I partitioned, it rebooted into the installer, it went through, rebooted itself, and said 'disk error'. I tried rebooting again, didn't work, but could still get into Snow Leopard. I tried wiping and starting over 3 or 4 times, but every time it ejects the cd before even getting into the installer. Any ideas on what would cause this?

I'm running Snow Leopard on a 2008 macbook.
