Bootcamp XP - Can't run native resolution on external monitor hooked up to MBP

I have a MBP (8600GT) with a 24" Dell monitor hooked up to it (1920x1200). In XP, I set it so the 24" is the only display (I run in clamshell). In the display settings, when I set the resolution to 1920x1200, it gives me a 4:3 viewable area centered on the monitor. If I move the mouse all the way to the right, the desktop drags over (the desktop is 1920x1200 in size, but it is displayed within a smaller 4:3 window on my monitor).

How do I fix this?
