Hi.

I installed Windows XP SP3 on my MacBook 10.64 using Boot Camp. I installed the drivers off the OS X install disc, which ran smoothly. However, when trying to run the BCUpdateXP.exe executable .rar file, nothing happens.

I have read around, and the only solution I have seen is to "wait" and eventually a UI appears. This does not happen for me, the process disappears after a couple seconds.

The other solution I have read is to change the Language hex settings to 409 in regedit. Mine are already at that value.

What do?

Thanks!

Edit wouldn't work

The language value is at 1033 decimal actually, which is what it should be.

Boot Camp 2.1 was for computers with Boot Camp and Mac OS X 10.5. Boot Camp 3.0, and the updates 3.1 and 3.2 are for Boot Camp for computers running Mac OS X 10.6. See here for Boot Camp Update 3.1 for Windows 32-bit, and here for Boot Camp Update 3.2 which are the relevant updates you should be installing.

Assuming you have Apple Software Update installed in Windows, (it should have installed by default) just run that and it will find the relevant Boot Camp updates.

The 3.1 and 3.2 drivers worked - duh!

Thanks anyways guys, saved me lots of head scratching (I actually looked into this and didn't find any other drivers for XP).

Thanks again!
