bootcamp?

This is my first macbook pro. Going from PC to my first mac. I have a few computer programs that I need windows for. Does bootcamp run the new windows 8? if NOT, should I just get windows 7 and pay small upgrade fee later when bootcamp does run 8?

Do I need to buy special version of windows 7 to run on my mac?

Probably runs 8, it is only $39.99 to download and try or download the beta for free

Parallels runs 8,so I would guess bootcamp would also run 8

Yes, I'm running it and it works fine. Just check de dozens of others topics here about the same question and you will see many users are already using it just fine.
