An octopus's garden
My main computer has been sent away to be repaired and I doubt I'll see it until Monday at the earliest. At the moment, I'm running my system from an external enclosure via an older macbook. I've never used this sort of set up for more than a few hours, so I want to check in with the knowledgeable people on MR to see if there's anything I need to be careful of.

The setup:
Momentus XT running Lion (with Boot Camp partition) in acomdata external enclosure connected via firewire (400) to

Macbook (Mid 2007), 3 GB RAM connected to Dell 2410 via VGA.

I know not to leave it running all night, but please feel free to chime in on other issues. Also, I could install this drive in the macbook while my MBP is being repaired, but I avoided it because I thought I could avoid some of the UUID issues. However, that's not the case, so might it be better to just install the HD into the Macbook?

Thanks!
