Booting from LiveCD

How? I googled. and it said while the CD is in the drive to hold down 'c' but... nothing happens... it just goes black and I dont see anything happen...

Are you talking about Linux Live CDs, or booting the Mac OS DVD? I've never had issues doing either. Also, what type of machine are you on / model?

ok. I tried that it just did the same. Should the CD say "Windows"? (I have the linux cd in) Does it matter that its not just a Ubuntu CD its a "Linux for dummes" CD.
